Job Description:

As an IT Process Automation Engineer, you’ll work to improve the overall productivity of our Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) teams and reduce the risk of inadvertently disrupting business by automating existing operational workflows. You will identify repetitive tasks and activities that may be performed more efficiently through automation. This role will also identify critical workflows that could be performed in a more reliable/predictable fashion through automation. This role includes ‘hands on’ responsibility for installing, configuring and operating specific automation solutions in the production environment.

Job Description:

  • Innovate and pioneer new automation opportunities within ITSM and ITIL frameworks to enhance consistency, efficiency and transparency
  • Install, maintain, and repair automation systems and applications
  • Work in cross-functional teams and alongside stakeholders to plan and implement automation solutions
  • Manage mid-to-large-scale projects to ensure timely completion
  • Provide technical leadership and design expertise on industry protocols and new product development
  • Train staff in the operation and procedures of automation systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field
  • 5 or more years related work experience
  • Experience in the installation, configuration and administration of applications
  • Experience with automation and/or configuration management tools and frameworks like Selenium, Ansible, Puppet or Terraform
  • Experience with API integration
  • Proficiency in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar platform
  • Proficiency in programming language such as Java, Python and C#
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills to support collaboration across the organization, including various teams and stakeholders with varying technical knowledge
  • Knowledge of mobile, web and server operating systems, as well as experience with analytics, robotics, AI and machine learning
  • Knowledge of network traffic load balancing
  • Knowledge of certificates and centralized certificate management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with BMC TrueSight Orchestration
  • Experience with BMC Server Automation
  • Experience with synthetic testing and application monitoring
