What is Head of Finance Transformation?

The Head of Finance Transformation is responsible for envisioning and leading end-to-end finance transformation initiatives, optimizing financial processes, and implementing innovative technology-driven solutions. This role will oversee the modernization of financial operations, leveraging Oracle Cloud and SAP ERP, RPA, AI/ML, workflow automation, and process mining tools to drive efficiency, compliance, and strategic decision-making. The incumbent will report to Head of Service Operations & Finance Transformation and also serve as a strategic partner to finance leadership, ensuring that financial transformation aligns with business goals while enhancing operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Transformation & Strategy Execution

• Support and proactively take ownership in defining, developing, and executing finance transformation roadmaps to optimize financial processes, reporting, and controls to enable a future ready-finance.
• Lead digital and intelligent process transformation initiatives leveraging advanced technologies like RPA, AI, ML, OCR, and workflow automation.
• Oversee implementation, upgrade and enhancement of ERP solutions (e.g. Oracle Fusion Cloud, SAP) across finance functions.
• Oversee the design and deployment of Power BI, Oracle OTBI, Oracle AI Agents, etc for improving operation efficiency and real-time financial insights.

• Spearhead finance process re-engineering across Source-to-Pay (S2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Invest-to-Capitalize (I2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), and Source-to-Pay (S2P) Processes
• Establish and maintain a centralized master data framework (e.g., chart of accounts, suppliers, customers, items, cost centers, business units etc) and implement robust data governance policies, ownership models, and change control mechanisms.

·        Leverage Oracle Cloud (ERP, EPM, and OTBI/OAC) to enhance self-service dashboards and analytics capabilities. Also, partner with relevant teams to define KPIs, performance metrics, and standardized reporting templates.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

• Collaborate with finance leadership, and other senior leadership in SBUs/enabling functions to drive finance transformation strategies and ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Partner with IT  to ensure seamless deployment of new financial systems, related  integrations and manage post go live Support Governance for financial systems.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Finance, IT and Business stakeholders, ensuring effective Governance, tracking, communication and adoption of transformation initiatives
• Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to finance teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Key Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered Accountant or Master’s in Business Finance
• Certification as either Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma Practitioner (black belt) is a must
• 10+ years of experience in Finance, Finance transformation, and consulting within leading organizations
• Proven expertise in leading Finance technologies including implementing ERPs, Finance process automation, shared services migration, continuous improvement, and finance analytics platforms
• Experience working in multinational, geographically diverse teams with a strong understanding of cross-cultural business environments.

Preferred Skills

• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Experience in benchmarking finance processes against global standards.
• Familiarity with digital finance solutions, AI-driven automation, and real-time financial analytics.
• Ability to drive change with structured methodologies and innovative problem-solving approaches.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
