As a member of the Professional Services team, AI Architects help position, sell, and support the DataRobot platform as the gold standard for AI in enterprises and overcome any barriers to delivering DataRobot for customers. You will work hand-in-hand with Customer Success, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to help us bring our platform to clients and prospects in the public sector space.
You will be responsible for providing the technical expertise to support the integration of DataRobot into the customer environment. You will have a broad range of skills and experience ranging from systems architecture to ETL flow design, security, cloud computing environments, and more. You will have experience supporting technical platforms in secure environments and navigating federal security and compliance requirements. You will have the insight to make the connection between a customer’s specific business problems and DataRobot's solution and the customer-facing skills to communicate that connection and vision to a wide variety of technical and executive audiences. Furthermore you will have the skills to provide consultative assistance on architecture and implementation of the customer’s business problem, usually through partnership with IT teams within federal government agencies.
As the AI Architect for the Federal Sector, you will also serve as a liaison between Product, Engineering, and the Federal business. You will apply your expertise in Federal infosec requirements and the Risk Management Framework to inform how the Product evolves to meet Federal requirements.
Please note: You must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance to be eligible for this role. If you do not meet these criteria, you will not be considered for the position.

Provide consultative assistance on architecture and implementation.
Support pre-sales activities including architectural overviews, security review, and scoping of professional services activities.
Keep up to date on the ever-evolving technologies for systems architecture, AI/ML, and LLM/MLOps to be an authoritative resource for both DataRobot and customers.
Work collaboratively with a broad range of people inside and outside the company.
May support, oversee, and/or train technical members of DataRobot partner organizations as it pertains to architecture, administration, and maintenance of the DataRobot platform.
This opportunity is contingent on security clearance validation.
Is this You?
5+ years of experience working with Federal customers, providing engineering, infrastructure, and technical guidance and support.
2+ years of experience supporting pre-sales technical engagements with Federal organizations.
Experience installing, managing, and supporting platforms running on Linux.
Strong container fundamentals and familiarization, CKAD or CKA a plus.
Experience with Kubernetes variants, OpenShift, AKS, EKS
Experience integrating with CI/CD pipeline tools on k8s such as Gitlab Runners, Helm, Flux, Argo, etc.
Experience working with Federal Risk Management Framework and ATO processes in secure spaces.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Working knowledge of enterprise software with experience supporting its deployment in large Federal accounts.
Willingness to be on-site in local (DC area) client facilities ~20-40% in certain peak periods in a client lifecycle, and for 10-20% regional travel.
Bonus points:
Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent proven experience.
Experience with cloud IaaS providers (AWS EC2, Azure).
Citizenship and Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US citizen.
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
CI Poly preferred (will be required to complete before supporting client accounts).
Applicants selected may be subject to a background investigation by the US Government and will be required to maintain a favorably adjudicated Secret security clearance for this position.
Compensation Statement
The U.S. annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for this full-time position is between $235,000 and $265,000 USD/year. This range represents a combination of annual base pay and targeted commission. Actual offers may be higher or lower than this range based on various factors, including (but not limited to) the candidate’s work location, job-related skills, experience, and education.
