Job Summary: 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented working student to support our data reporting and analytics initiatives using Microsoft Azure and Power BI. This role is ideal for a student with a foundational understanding of data engineering and visualization who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, real-world environment. You will work closely with our reporting and analytics team to help build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and dashboards that drive business insights. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist in the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making. 

• Support the creation and monitoring of data pipelines using Azure Synapse or Microsoft Fabric. 

• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks using SQL, Python & REST APIs. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 

• Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports. 

• Document processes, data models, and reporting logic for internal knowledge sharing. 

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. 

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 

• Basic knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data. 

• Basic programming skills in Python, especially for data processing tasks. Experience with Pandas & NumPy is a plus. 

• Familiarity with Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations. 

• Exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric for building data pipelines is a strong plus. 

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail is important. 

• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. 

• Proficiency in English; German, French or Spanish is a plus. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with version control tools like GitHub and/or Azure CI/CD. 

• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements, showcasing a proactive approach to problem-solving. 

• Understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema, normalization). 

• Interest in cloud technologies and data engineering best practices.
