The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of data to provide insights and recommendations to inform business decisions and sales strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of statistical analysis, data visualization, and data management. The Team: The Data, Analytics, Insights & Pricing team at S&P Global is a dynamic, challenging environment where you will be working with global stakeholders from Sales, Product and Leadership teams. Tight deadlines, high pressure, and large data sets are to be expected. The team provides an enabling learning environment and an opportunity to grow, upskill, and achieve personal developmental goals.

The Impact: You will have the opportunity to work on highly impactful analyses that will inform business strategy for S&P Global. Analytics & Insights generated by you would solve business problems that affect both the sales and product organizations globally. This is a highly analytical role that requires you to consider data from multiple sources and develop complex analytical models based on sales, market, and customer data. This individual will monitor KPI (Key Performance Indicator) achievement and provide data integrity, analysis & reporting for key decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns

• Create compelling visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven decision making

• Develop and implement data models and algorithms to improve decision-making processes

• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for data analysis

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and automated reporting processes

• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency

• Lead, maintain, and improve tools, processes, and analyses

• Identify, develop, and conduct sophisticated analyses that solves problems or answers business needs

• Present information in a meaningful way using data visualization techniques

• Dedicatedly identify gaps and errors in reporting and work towards improving overall data quality

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Masters will be preferred.

• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, with a proven track record of delivering insights and driving business results

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and at least one data visualization tool (such as Tableau, PowerBI, or similar)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Familiarity with Python, statistical analysis, and machine learning algorithms is a plus

• Experience with Salesforce and Analytics tools is preferred

• Excellent work ethic and self-motivation

• Strong desire to innovate and optimize processes

• Ability to problem solve and think creatively
