Cloud Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Manages, administers, supports and enhances cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution in support of development, deployment, and optimization of a cloud environment to support operationalization of AI or ML predictive models. Applies advanced skills or extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Able to support cloud optimization and engineering of cloud native solutions on AWS or AWS GovCloud. Works without considerable direction. Mentors and may supervise team members.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with AWS cloud native technologies and services

• Experience with developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within an AWS Cloud environment

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and application to cloud native workloads

• Top Secret clearance 

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics 

• DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical Certification, such as CompTIA Security+ Certification 

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CCP) Certification or higher level AWS certification

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience working with DoD clients 

• Experience with Terraform or Terragrunt IaC tools

• Experience with third-party code scanning, or cloud workload cybersecurity or DevSecOps compliance tools

• Knowledge of the DoD Personnel Security mission area 

• Ability to work as part of an engineering team and support the Risk Management Framework process to obtain an Authorization to Operate (ATO) for a new system implementation 

Clearance: 

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
