Description Overview

You will excel at this job if you’re adept at understanding and translating people’s needs and are able to apply your modeling  skill which help business to get answers at their figure tips using reporting tools like  Data Bricks,PowerBI, AO/ BOBJ. As an data archetict , you are the link between the data and reporting needs helping business partners and perrigo achieve our mission at perrigo"To make lives better by bringing Quality, Affordable Self-Care products that consumers trust everywhere they are sold ". You are open to leaning CPG ( consumer package goods) business processes putting yourself in the customer’s thinking a few steps ahead of them, visualizing and designing a solution that will support your customer’s data needs. You have strong design capabilities and can design a solution that not only gives them what they need but makes it easy for them to analyze data. You can deliver analytics solutions quickly and effectively.

Scope of the Role

Some regular responsibilities might look like, but are not limited to,

• Have good understanding and experience of CPG industry and Enterprise BI data modeling concepts.
• Independent and self starter responsible for business requirements gathering by identifying data sources and structures, understanding user data final purpose and reviewing data access control with data owners
• Accountable for designing, developing, maintaining, and architecting  DataBricks  in a reliable  manner, ensuring the accuracy and availability of Perrigo’s primary data along with quick and efficient problem analyses and resolution
• Establish a collaborative relationship with a new project’s stakeholder(s) and gather their needs to inform initial requirements.
• Establish thorough testing and debugging programming requirements and practices, and provide proper technical documentation to satisfy all corporate guidelines, and Perrigo and cGMP standards. 
• Participate into architecture discussions and solutions not limited to data into AI , ML, Data Science space.
• Lead/mentor data engineer team ( internal as well as external ) with out them directly reporting to you.

Experience Required

These skills are normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, CIS, Information Technology, or a closely allied field, combined with multi-year of experience in the development and exposure to modeling and reporting skills with atleast one or more domain knowledge like Finance, Sale &Marketing, Customer Service, Planning etc.

The candidate must possess mature knowledge of data modeling Business Intelligence best parcties, Ralph Kimball metholodies, database structures and connectivity (Primarily SAP ECC, C-fin , MDG,IBP and non-SAP related along with external big data) souces.  Ability to work with different databases like Data Bricks, Hana, SQL. Ability to work directly with the business user community to gather requirements, and  build industry standard data modeles which will help business in self service reporting.
