The Healthhub Signalling is the condition monitoring and predictive maintenance digital solution developed by Alstom to improve the availability and the Life Cycle Cost of Urban and Mainline Transportation Signalling assets and systems. As part of the Healthhub Signalling Data Analytics Program, the Data Analytics Program DeEngineer will ensure the System design of the technical solutions for Data Analytics program.
Responsibilities
As part of the Healthhub Signalling Data Analytics Program, the Data Analytics Product Design Engineer will
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based or on-prem based infrastructure, with a focus on the interface with databases such as ElasticSerch, Postgre, InfluxDB;
- Support and improve the data pipelines, development workflows, and security practices;
- Contribute to the evolution of HHS platform architecture to support emerging needs in AI/ML research, federated learning, and large-scale data processing;
- Deploy components in Kubernetes, taking into consideration to enhance the platform’s scalability and reliability;
- Build and deploy the data pipeline within HealthHub signalling in “proof of concept” mode to quickly test and have feedback and analysis on the merits and demerits of a chosen design.
- Follow-up the data Engineering pipeline, and ensure that the data preparation suits the needs and the expected performance;
- Collaborate with Solution team, DevOps team, System team to have a fine understanding of the system needs;
- Specify & maintain the relative SW documents.
Educational, Technical & Soft Skills
- A bachelors or master’s degree in computer science or related field required;
- System experience, or system-oriented technical skills required;
- Experience in Data Engineering / Data pipeline management required
- Knowledge of some of the databases is a plus: ElasticSearch, Postrgres, InfluxDB, Cassandra appreciated;
- DevOps skills highly appreciated;
- Experience working and deploying applications with Docker and Kubernetes environments
- Knowledge in Python and its standard libraries is appreciated (Pandas, Numpy, Scipy etc);
- Knowledge with dashboarding tools such as Grafana, Tableau, BI tools (Power BI..) or any other equivalent tool is appreciated;
- Knowledge on other programming languages such as Java and C# is appreciated;
- Strong teamwork and a dynamic person is required
- Fluent written and spoken English and French is required
