PMS 515L requires a Shipyard Configuration Data Manager onsite at FMM shipbuilder. This critical role will collaborate closely with the Project Engineer, Test Officer, ISEAs, and SUPSHIP to ensure seamless integration and execution of all logistics aspects throughout the Ship Systems lifecycle. The Senior Configuration Data Manager will be instrumental in overseeing shipbuilder activities to include: integrated maintenance and operability, technical manuals, initial outfitting, human system integration, sustainment certification of the ship, and ensuring compliance with Navy and contractual requirements.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for PMS 515L technical logistics matters onsite.
  • Monitor and track the Design Change Notices (DCNs) implemented and effects on logistical products.
  • Develop and maintain an overall logistics schedule that aligns with the overall PMS515 delivery schedule. Monitor and analyze schedule variances, proactively identifying and addressing potential impacts to the overall logistics process.
  • Establish and maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Ensure shipbuilder is complying with Navy and contractual requirements, documenting and addressing any deviations.
  • Oversee and track status of supply products to include the delivery of Installation and Checkout (I&C) Spares, Maintenance Assistance Modules (MAMs), and On-Board Repair Parts (OBRPs) as well as the completion of Program Support Data (PSD). Monitor the execution of the Readiness Based Sparing (RBS) runs.
  • Maintain active and consistent communication with (weekly) with the Test Officer, Project Engineer, the Program Managers Representative (PMR), and FMM representatives.
  • Attend IPTs, SPRs and other logistic related meetings.
  • Critically review all changes are reviewed for logistical impact. Supply recommendations to the Project Engineer based on the ILS impacts and potential schedule adjustments.
  • Assist with development of Ships Systems Certifications, ensuring all logistical requirements are met
  • Provide comprehensive support in planning of HM&E and Combat Systems testing to include reviewing of test procedures, schedule input and ensuring equipment required is available

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current DOD security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of applicable experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for 9 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • 10 years of experience in configuration data management, shipyard or Naval operations, or related field
  • Familiarity with logistics concepts, including configuration management, supply chain management, and maintenance planning
  • Familiarity with Naval Logistics concepts, self-starting, and able to find/solicit information independently to build on complex efforts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently of as a part of a team
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply Naval Logistics concepts, regulations, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active or Current Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, engineering, business, data analytics, or related field
  • DAU level III Logistician or Equivalent
  • Experience with DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process)
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL, Tableau, or Power BI
