Senior Security Engineer

This is a blue team engineering role for someone who thinks like an attacker.
As a Security Engineer, you’ll be responsible for hardening our cloud and on-prem infrastructure, securing CI/CD pipelines, and enhancing detection across critical systems. This hands-on position is ideal for candidates with strong infrastructure knowledge, practical experience in offensive security techniques, and a passion for building scalable, resilient defenses. You’ll apply your understanding of attacker behavior to proactively identify weaknesses and engineer reliable protections—helping us stay ahead of evolving threats.

WHAT YOU'LL DO  

• Security Operations & Monitoring: Oversee and improve security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities using SIEM, EDR, and other security tools.

• Improve the security of AWS, GCP, Entra ID, Linux, Windows, and macOS infrastructure.

• Apply attacker techniques to proactively identify weaknesses (e.g., privilege escalation, lateral movement, misconfigurations).

• Secure and monitor infrastructure CI/CD pipelines (Terraform, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Ansible).

• Harden identity and access management (IAM) and enforce least privilege across systems.

• Build and maintain automation for monitoring, alerting, and infrastructure validation tasks.

• Participate in internal red/blue team simulations and improve detection based on offensive insights.

• Review infrastructure deployment configurations and cloud resources for exposure, drift, and misconfigurations.

• Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, IT, R&D and engineering teams to embed security best practices in the development lifecycle.

WHAT YOU BRING 

• 4+ years of experience combining infrastructure security engineering with practical offensive security work (e.g., red teaming, pentesting, adversary simulation).

• Familiarity with penetration testing techniques and real-world TTPs (MITRE ATT&CK).

• Practical experience with Linux, Windows, and macOS security configurations.

• Good knowledge of cloud security principles in AWS, GCP, and Entra ID.

• Experience working with CI/CD tools and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, etc.).

• Scripting ability in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and tooling.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals, VPNs, firewalls, segmentation, and zero-trust.

• Experience using SIEM or EDR tools (e.g., ELK, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike) for detection and incident support.

• Awareness of identity lifecycle management and privileged access control.

• Familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Benchmarks, and NIST CSF.

Nice to Have

• Certifications like OSCP, PNPT, eCPTX, AZ-500, or GCP Security Engineer.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container runtime security.

• Experience with incident response or digital forensics in complex environments.

• Participation in Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions, HackTheBox, or similar platforms showcasing offensive security skills and creative thinking.
