Opportunity knocks …

In this high-profile function, you will be a key support to the Data Product Management Application (DPMA) which is critical in the management of Data Products and execution of the Operating Model at Westpac. This role contributes to the ensuring that data products are built, governed, and delivered in a manner that maximizes value for the Group. 

This position will include gathering business requirements, prioritising the backlog, and supporting delivery, along with developing product solutions and strategic architecture roadmaps aligned with business needs. It also involves providing escalation support, hands-on technical leadership, contributing to minor enhancements, and coaching the business to improve data product awareness and capability.

What do I need?

Essential:

• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a Data or IT field.
• Design Skills: SDLC, GUI Wireframes, Data Flow design, Micro-services, and event driven frameworks.
• Data Skills: Data Modelling, Metadata Management, SQL, No SQL, Cassandra.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of business. 
• Tech Skills: Bitbucket, and Java.

Desirable:

• Data Governance and Data Products. 
• Federated Operating Models.
• Tech Skills: React.js, Node.js, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
• Westpac Digital Platform experience.
