Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Data Management Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL. 

Position Overview:  

The selected Data Management Analyst will work on the Modeling and Simulation – Framework (MASC-F) program with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and developers. The Data Management function promotes the exchange of data among all participants and elements and provides protection of all data IAW applicable governing requirements and regulations. The DM Analyst will work to identify, acquire or access, maintain, utilize, control, disseminate, retain, and ultimately dispose of data.  

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for data management activities
  • Implement high-level prioritization of requests and communicate schedules to stakeholders, including customers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate release of deliverables and program documents.
  • Coordinate with document authors and project managers to ensure deadlines and special handling requirements are met for on-time quality delivery.
  • Provide education on naming conventions and document format standards.
  • Promote consistency in naming conventions and documentation standards across multiple projects.
  • Ensure high-quality program documentation by performing technical editing to comply with deliverable templates.
  • Identify and correct usage errors and edit deliverables for grammar, spelling, and formatting consistency.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Basic Qualifications for a Data Management Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 0 years of related experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of data management
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
  • Applicants must have the ability to work full time onsite
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Missile Defense or MDA
  • Experience in managing documentation libraries
  • Familiarity with CDRLs
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum
  • Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $116,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
