About the role:

Join Hakkoda’s remote-first team in Portugal and become a key player in designing cutting-edge data solutions for global clients. As a Data Architect, you’ll lead the development of modern data architectures using Snowflake and other cloud data platforms. You’ll play a strategic advisory role, helping clients navigate complex data transformations while working closely with teams across Portugal and the UK.

This is a high-impact position with room for both leadership and individual growth, supported by a culture that encourages collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable data architectures on Snowflake and other cloud data platforms.

• Guide organizations through data migration and modernization journeys with clarity and precision.

• Lead architectural discussions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and automate large-scale data solutions.

• Analyze system requirements and implement effective, secure data migration strategies.

• Support clients in optimizing their data platforms, pipelines, and models.

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, MIS, or a related field.

• 6+ years of experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, or analytics.

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Architect.

• 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

• Understanding of migration, dev/ops, ETL/ELT ingestion pipeline with tools like DataStage, Informatica, Matillion

• Experience on Data Modeling

• Experience on cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google)

• Project management skills and experience working with Scrum and Agile Development methods

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate.
