We’re hiring a Principal Data Insights Analyst to join Virgin Media O2’s Data Democratisation programme — a senior, highly hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of deep data analysis and strategic business impact.

We’re seeking a seasoned master practitioner — someone who has grown their career through hands-on capability, a strategic "data detective" who can work across the business to identify high-impact opportunities and deliver insights that genuinely move the needle for VMO2.

You’re a hands-on expert in SQL, Python, and data visualisation (e.g., Tableau), with a track record of delivering analysis that translates directly into commercial value.

You bring experience with ML tools and predictive modelling, and you're able to use them in practical, business-focused ways.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

• Expert-level SQL, ideally with experience in BigQuery as well as proficiency in Python with practical application of advanced statistical and analytical techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to translate high-level business strategy into actionable, analytical research agendas.
• Comfortable presenting findings to senior stakeholders, including C-level, with the ability to simplify complex analysis into clear narratives.
• Recognised thought leader or mentor in analytics, with experience defining best practices and guiding others.
• Comfortable applying advanced statistical techniques, predictive modelling, and machine learning in a production or business context.

The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring;

• Able to clearly communicate complex insights to senior and executive stakeholders, with strong storytelling and data visualisation skills (e.g. Tableau).
• Experience influencing strategic decisions and identifying opportunities at the enterprise level.
