Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant – IT Development Manager! 

The IT Development Manager position exists to successfully execute projects / initiatives in an information technology (IT) department. You will coordinate team or group activities with CVS Health and vendor staff resources. You will provide guidance and direction to project teams and direct reports on planning and execution of projects, technical and functional standards and practice, process and procedures, and career development. You will participate in annual budgeting, capital processes and quality improvement activities for the organization 

Responsibilities 

• Experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Data Proc, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, PUB/SUB, Cloud Functions and Dataflow. 

• Cloud Composer, ETL experience - working with large data sets, PySpark, Python, Spark SQL, DataFrames, PyTest 

• Develop and implement proactive monitoring and alert mechanism for data issues. 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitHub & GitHub actions.  

• Able to write complex SQL queries for business results computation 

• Develop architecture recommendations based on GCP best practices and industry standards. 

• Work through all stages of a data solution life cycle: analyze/profile data, create conceptual, logical & physical data model designs, architect and design ETL, reporting, and analytics solutions. 

• Conduct technical reviews and ensure that GCP solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements. 

• Strong knowledge of GCP architecture and design patterns.

• Experience in ETL development and working with large-scale data sets. 

• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, and DataFrames. 

• Strong ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries for data processing and business intelligence. 

• Familiarity with Cloud Composer and data pipeline orchestration. 

• Solid understanding of data monitoring and alerting mechanisms for proactive issue resolution. 

• Experience working through all stages of the data solution lifecycle, including data profiling, modeling, and solution design. 

• Proven ability to conduct technical reviews to ensure solutions align with functional and non-functional requirements. 

• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, including Jenkins, GitHub, and GitHub Actions. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect). 

• Demonstrated ability to design solutions following GCP architectural best practices and industry standards. 

• Experience in data architecture and recommending cloud-based architectural improvements. 

• Experience in test automation frameworks like PyTest for data pipelines. 

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code in a GCP environment. 

Experience working in agile environments and cross-functional teams. 

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is [$60,000 to $75,000]. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
