Senior Software Engineer-2

Job Description – AI Engineer Software Engineering, Senior Software Engineer Who We Are:  At Clarivate, the Academia & Government (A&G) AI team develops AI-powered features and tools that enhance products across the A&G portfolio, including Web of Science, ProQuest, and Ex Libris. We are a global team of Engineers and Data Scientists focused on delivering scalable, production-ready AI capabilities that bring real value to academic and public sector users. Our work culture emphasizes flexibility, innovation, and strong cross-functional collaboration. About You :   

• 3+ years in back-end or full-stack development. 

• Skills: Python and experience with FastAPI or a similar framework. 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Proven track record in integrating diverse solutions, preferably with a particular focus on AI/ML models, into production environments. 
• Deep understanding of back-end development best practices. 
• Flexibility to work within a globally distributed team. 

• Willingness to learn new technologies, such as AI/ML libraries and methodologies. 

It would be great if you had: 

• Being comfortable working on a wide, yet relevant, range of projects. 

• Familiarity with Data Science concepts, or an eagerness to learn. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Architect and maintain back-end systems for our internal AI platform. 

• Integrate advanced AI/ML models, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. 

• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to bring AI-driven solutions to life. 

• Ensure our platform is scalable, reliable, and lightning-fast 

 About the Role:

• As an AI Engineer, you will design and build services for both internal tools and customer-facing products. You’ll work closely with other Engineers, Data Scientists, DevOps, and Product Managers to deliver reusable shared services. This role also offers opportunities to expand your skills in AI/ML development, depending on your interests and experience.  Our team performs diverse tasks, so being flexible is key.

Where and How You’ll Work: This position is based at our Jerusalem office. It’s a hybrid role. Bear in mind that your team will be spread across the world!
