This dynamic and innovative team is committed to harnessing the power of data, analytics, and AI to significantly enhance business productivity and drive sustainable growth. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in supporting a new development program, where you will shape its strategic vision to effectively leverage data, analytics, and AI to meet and exceed program objectives. You will establish a comprehensive strategy and a robust foundation for analytics that will support the program throughout its entire lifecycle, ensuring ongoing success and fostering a culture of innovation.

As a Senior Solutions Architect t, you will be tasked with developing a comprehensive platform strategy that articulates the strategic vision for collecting, storing, managing, securing, and leveraging data to execute business intelligence, analytics, and AI initiatives for the program. Your efforts will enhance program performance, productivity, and scalability throughout its full lifecycle. You will serve as a thought leader in crafting the architectural vision for a hybrid platform (cloud and on-prem) that employs modern hybrid cloud architecture, scalable data management technologies, and cutting-edge data science and AI frameworks to support the program's data and analytics objectives, addressing operational needs from early design engineering through manufacturing, delivery, operations, and sustainment.

This platform will serve as a robust foundation to integrate analytics and AI into the program, facilitating improved decision support, predictive capabilities that drive key program advancements, advanced simulations of program activities, and other data science-driven outcomes that propel the program forward and deliver contractual analytics commitments.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Define and establish the strategic vision for applying analytics and AI across the program and develop the architecture strategy to create a robust data and analytics platform that supports this vision. Oversee the complete design, implementation, operation, and sustainment of the platform, capabilities, and solutions.
  • Engage, collaborate, and align with program business and technical leadership to shape the strategic vision, ensuring rigorous alignment between key program objectives and analytical capabilities. Establish the necessary people, processes, and tools to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Lead the formation of a high-performing data and analytics team dedicated to developing the data and analytics platform and delivering analytics and AI solutions to the program.
  • Oversee plans, roadmaps, schedules, and budgets for the data platform while monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Assess the programmatic impacts of technical decisions and recommend solutions based on value, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Promote and advocate for the utilization and advancement of data and analytics among program stakeholders and customers to foster a culture of high data literacy and analytical thinking.
  • Work closely with functional partner and enterprise technical organizations to ensure cohesive integration and alignment of efforts.
  • Ability to provide thought leadership across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and technical team members
  • Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 

  • A technical master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, operations research, bioinformatics, information systems, economics, computational biology, physics, or chemistry.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and driving enterprise-level data architecture across sophisticated cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • 10+ years of experience designing and working with data solutions in both non-classified and classified environments
  • 10+ years of experience designing, deploying, and sustaining complex analytic and AI products and/or capabilities
  • Experience working with ITAR, EAR, and other types of sensitive data, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • 5+ years leading technical software engineering or analytic solution development teams
  • 5+ years of experience in end-to-end understanding of cloud platform architecture, data architecture, solution development, and advanced data science methodologies and technologies

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of Agile and/or SAFe Agile
  • 5+ years of experience in the aviation & defense industry
  • 5+ years of experience with the lifecycle development of a defense program
  • Experience of working within a multinational matrix management environment / structure and a large-scale, sophisticated international organization

Summary pay range: USD 190,800 – 243,800
