The Client and Account Specialist role offers a unique opportunity to be a key contributor to the success of John Hancock’s sales teams. By identifying and providing a wide range of cross-functional solutions for our internal and external distribution partners, you will play a crucial role in achieving our sales objectives. You will gain valuable experience, enhance your analytical and problem-solving skills, and work in a dynamic environment that values flexibility, collaboration, and professional growth.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of the specific business products, services, and processes

  • Completion of departmental educational courses as required

  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills

  • Excellent knowledge of workflows, procedures and the functionalities, complexities, and limitations of our systems

  • Proactively anticipate and manage business issues and impacts and build rational cases to influence recommended course of action

  • Key team player with ability to lead and act as a role model to team/department staff

  • Demonstrated understanding of the big picture to enable sound and creative problem-solving and decision making

  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and at a level appropriate to the listener

Required Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Background

  • General understanding of Life Insurance and how it is sold

  • Industry Experience

  • Ability to work as a team

  • Learn new traits and expand current skill set

Preferred Qualifications:

  • New Business/Underwriting Background or Distribution Background

  • General Distribution knowledge

  • Dedication to our customers and understanding our customers’ needs

  • Futuristic approach to technology and potential enhancements including AI, CHAT GPT, Power BI

  • General Life Insurance Background

  • Prestation skills would be a huge benefit for this role

  • Public Speaking

Salary range is expected to be between

$60,375.00 USD - $100,625.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
