Associate, Logistics (Exceptions)

Days/Hours -  SUNDAY - THURSDAY -  9 to 5PM EST

Location: New York, NY or Newark NJ

The Associate is responsible for executing critical daily supply chain processes within the Logistics team. Responsibilities include becoming the process owner for daily exception management, reporting on current network status, and analyzing real-time data to provide recommendations on needed contingency actions. Additional tasks will include weekly invoice processing activities, tracking internal metrics against established KPIs, and working with the Logistics strategy team to monitor and action improvement opportunities within our carrier network. You will be asked to travel up to 10% within the United States.

You will...

  • Assist in running the daily exception management processes, communicating potential delays, and assigning boxes to be re-made, with the goal of protecting the customer experience
  • Report to the Senior Manager to enhance customer experience
  • Analyze real-time data to provide recovery and contingency action plans
  • Monitor weekly error data to source root cause major exceptions events and analyze impact
  • Support weekly invoice and order management processes by analyzing the movement of parcels across the network
  • Gather, analyze, and present qualitative and quantitative data to drive strategy and improve performance
  • Serve as the primary points of contact within the HF Network Escalations process, working cross-functionally with Customer Care, DC Operations & Strategy teams
  • Work with the Exception team’s Supply Chain Analyst to help track internal metrics against established KPIs
  • Solve unique and challenging problems faced in a perishable supply chain
  • Brainstorm innovative ways to leverage technology and improve upstream operations, and final mile delivery performance

  • Work with leadership to scope, maintain and troubleshoot Logistics Technology platforms

You have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or other relevant areas of study required
  • 2 years of experience delivering analytical solutions to complex problems required
  • Ability to travel up to 10% within the United States
  • Experience in turning analysis into action using tools such as Excel, Python, SQL or Tableau preferred
  • Experience working with transportation management software preferred
  • This position's essential functions demand the performance of the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation:
    • Prolonged periods working at a desk and on a computer
    • Reading information on a computer screen and inputting data into a computer system
