Company Description

Red Bull North America's Data Science team is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to help build and scale the infrastructure powering our Data Science and Analytics initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Data Science, this role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys balancing the refinement of data science workflows into stable, reliable data and machine learning processes with developing data models and validations. The candidate will leverage software development skills to establish best practices and standards for the data science team.

Job Description

Collaborate with IT and BI teams to ensure that data models and pipelines are designed for availability, scalability, maintenance, and accuracy.

Tackle complex data integration challenges by applying ETL frameworks, advanced querying techniques, and sourcing from both structured and unstructured data.

Effectively communicate data models and datasets to data scientists and analysts in clear, accessible terms, providing comprehensive documentation and support to facilitate their usage.

Develop data quality standards and data governance processes that enable data to be used across the enterprise.

Help build and enhance data capabilities across the organization by ensuring teams are equipped with the right data and the skills to effectively leverage it in their function, contributing to the company’s broader data-driven objectives.

Design, develop, and maintain robust data and machine learning workflows that support analytics, reporting, and business use cases.

Optimize, test, and debug Machine Learning workflows and pipelines in a cloud environment.

Help create and enforce engineering best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, testing protocols, code reviews, and version control standards.

Build and maintain well-documented, structured data models that enable efficient data science and analytics experimentation.

Continuously monitor and optimize data pipeline performance to ensure efficiency, data quality, reliability, and security.

Qualifications

3+ years of industry experience in software development, data engineering, business intelligence, data science, or a related field. Bonus if within the CPG industry.

Bachelor’s or master´s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline preferred

Experience with data modeling, cloud data warehousing (Snowflake or Databricks) , and building ETL pipelines using tools like dbt, Glue, dagster or Airflow. Bonus: you've experience preparing data for machine learning model training and real-time use cases.

Proficiency in SQL and Python coding languages with experience building robust ETL/ELT pipelines. Experience with R is a bonus.

Experience applying software development practices to data engineering (CI/CD, Version Control, testing frameworks)

Experience working with a cloud-based service such as AWS, Azure or GCP.

Experience using big data technologies.

Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles.

Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

The base salary range for this position is $116,000 to $174,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
