Location: Remote or Hybrid (Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN)Employment Type: Full-Time ConsultantAre you a seasoned Data Engineer with deep expertise in Fivetran and Databricks? Trissential is looking for a Fivetran Engineer to join our client’s data-centric engineering team. You’ll architect and enhance data pipelines that power critical analytics initiatives. Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage data pipelines using Fivetran for ingestion and transformation
  • Lead migration of existing ingestion processes into Fivetran-powered workflows
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and engineers to integrate Databricks and other tools
  • Optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and data quality best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement through feedback, documentation, and tooling enhancements

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering roles, including Fivetran usage
  • Proven expertise with Fivetran ingestion pipelines—design, configuration, error handling
  • Strong experience with Databricks/Spark for data transformation
  • Solid SQL skills and familiarity with modern data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Fivetran certifications or deep ecosystem knowledge
  • Experience with dbt or other ELT tools
  • Background in streaming ingestion (Kafka, Kinesis)
  • Familiarity with data modeling, governance, and metadata management tools

Education & Certifications You Need

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Fivetran, Databricks, AWS/GCP/Azure) welcomed but not required
