Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Data Analytics Manager, this position is responsible for updating data and running reports relevant to the operation of Lakeland Care, Inc. (LCI) to maximize revenue and make most effective use of resources. Key activities include running standard reports; updating data for use in business intelligence tools; maintenance of LCI’s data collection processes and documentation; conducting ad hoc research under direction of the Data Analytics Manager.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are typical for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned.
- Run and distribute standard weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
- Review data on reports to ensure accuracy, validity, and integrity.
- Contribute to new report development or existing report modifications, by assessing the underlying need, report specifications and reviewing with stakeholders as needed.
- Ad hoc data research, comparisons, and identification of opportunities.
- Assist in development and maintenance of departmental procedures and documentation.
- Maintain current spreadsheets and Business Intelligence Systems used by LCI leaders and staff to support data analysis and decision making.
- Collaborate with other LCI staff in finding root cause and efficiencies for their reporting requirements.
- Provide back up to Data Analytics team.
- Comply with applicable federal and state laws, administrative rules, established organizational procedures and accepted professional standards.
- Maintain the confidentiality of client information and protected health information as required by State and Federal regulations, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) Act of 1996.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, information systems, finance or business related field, or equivalent combination of formal education and experience preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience or training related to data reporting and analysis is preferred.
- Moderate level of Microsoft Excel skills required, and knowledge or experience with other reporting or data systems preferred.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy in performance of responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, along with the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment required.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to effectively solve problems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude to quickly gain an understanding in new issue areas and associated data.
- Experience in a managed care, health care, human services, insurance, and/or non-profit agency setting preferred.
- Current WI driver’s license, acceptable driving record and proof of adequate insurance required.
