Senior LLM Automation Engineer

We are now looking for a Senior LLM Automation Engineer to help us strengthen Volue’s ability to deliver real value to our customers, in line with our mission. In this role, you will help shape how we use large language models (LLMs) to speed up software development, improve engineering processes, and bring smart, AI-driven features into our products. You will work at the crossroads of software development, AI, and platform engineering - building and improving practical solutions that benefit both our users and our development teams.

What you will be doing to make a difference:

🔧 Solution Design & Delivery

• Explore practical use cases like code generation, test automation, AI pair programming, and data enrichment.
• Choose and connect the right foundation models or APIs for each use case. Use techniques like retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) when helpful.
• Build reliable and scalable CI/CD pipelines that make it easy to update and monitor prompts and models.
• Build a production-ready RAG system for code intelligence across multiple programming languages, implementing vector search with FAISS, language-aware chunking, and multi-LLM integration (Claude, Ollama) to enable natural language querying of codebases and documentation.
• Develop scalable backend infrastructure using FastAPI, implement AST-based code analysis, design unified search algorithms, and create data processing pipelines for GitHub repository ingestion, document parsing, and real-time embedding generation.

🤖 Process Automation

• Use LLMs to automate repetitive tasks across the development process - from writing requirements and code to testing, documentation, and deployment.
• Help speed up delivery and make developers' work easier by introducing smart AI-powered tools.

✅ Quality, Security & Compliance

• Create tools to measure how well your LLM solutions perform — looking at things like speed, accuracy, bias, hallucinations, and cost.
• Make sure your solutions are safe and compliant by adding guardrails and privacy protections that follow standards like GDPR, ISO 42001, and NIST’s AI risk framework.

🤝 Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Work closely with software developers and DevOps teams on designing and reviewing AI-based solutions.
• Share what you've learned by contributing to internal guides, best practices, and team discussions on generative AI.
• Coordinate with Security, Legal, and Product teams to ensure new solutions are rolled out responsibly and meet all necessary requirements.

What you need to succeed:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 7+ years of production software development experience, including 2+ years hands-on with LLMs or NLP.
• Track record of delivering AI/ML or platform-engineering solutions end-to-end.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, TypeScript, Go, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with vector databases, prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and evaluation tools (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex, BentoML, MLflow, Weights & Biases).
• Analytical and pragmatic with a strong outcome focus.
• Clear communicator who can explain complex AI topics to non-specialists.
• Self-driven collaborator who elevates team capability.
• Committed to ethical and responsible AI principles.
