Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence, the Business Intelligence Analyst is a subject matter expert providing visibility into internal and external metrics. This individual will play a key role in shaping data-driven strategies for both Professional and Managed IT Services. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of business intelligence, coupled with hands-on experience in Salesforce, data visualization, and project management. You will help drive performance visibility, streamline reporting processes, and align analytics with broader business objectives.
What you’ll do
- Dashboard & Report Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards and reports in Power BI (or similar tools) to provide visibility into operational and financial performance across IT Services.
- Decision Support:
- Identify key metrics and create actionable insights to support decision-making across service operations, finance, and sales.
- Insightful Storytelling:
- Translate complex datasets into executive-level summaries with actionable recommendations, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- IT Services Expertise:
- Leverage knowledge of Professional and Managed IT Services to tailor reports and insights that reflect the nuances of service delivery, SLAs, resource utilization, and customer engagement.
- Salesforce Integration:
- Extract, analyze, and integrate data from Salesforce to enhance business reporting and improve lead-to-revenue insights.
- Automation & Optimization:
- Automate legacy reporting processes and recommend scalable solutions to improve efficiency, consistency, and governance.
- Data Quality & Governance:
- Identify data integrity issues and implement quality control measures. Partner with IT and data teams to enhance data structure, definitions, and governance frameworks.
- Benchmarking & Strategic Alignment:
- Collaborate with research and insights teams to benchmark service performance and support strategic planning with competitive or industry-aligned metrics.
What you need to succeed
Must-have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence or analytics, preferably supporting IT Services (Professional & Managed Services)
- Proficient in Power BI
- Experience working with Salesforce data for reporting and performance management
- Proficient in SQL and DAX; familiarity with Python or R is an advantage
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with proven experience managing multiple priorities and initiatives
- Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to understand and concisely articulate details and impacts of complex business problems
Nice-to-have
- Experience in a service-based environment with exposure to SLA-driven performance metrics
- Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and enterprise reporting systems
- Exposure to financial systems, ServiceNOW and reporting reconciliation across business platforms
- Understanding of project management methodologies; PMP or Agile/Scrum experience is a plus
Pay range: $66,000 - $91,600, depending on experience and skill set
