As the Healthcare Consulting Director – Insights Services you will play a critical role in connecting streamlining and optimizing data across the Insights Segment as you design and deploy new and scalable solutions built on proprietary Huron data sets and consulting capabilities. This role is ideal for a data-driven leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about translating insights into action and bringing new capabilities to market.
This role is 50% focused on Insights Management Innovation and 50% focused on directly and indirectly driving marketplace success through collaboration across Healthcare Insights, Healthcare Consulting, Customer Success, and Huron Digital Teams.
Insights Management Innovation:
Advance Predictive Analytics: Support the development of predictive modeling and trend analysis to better inform clinical, operational, and financial decision-making across health systems.
Data Engineering Alignment: Partner with Global Products stakeholders to ensure backend data ingestion processes, infrastructure, and ongoing communication can support efficient delivery of Insights services and the development of new use cases.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with consulting, technology, and analytics teams to align data strategies with client needs and best practices. This includes scaling data strategies beyond claims data solutions to broader Healthcare Insights teams.
Artificial Intelligence: Evaluate and recommend AI and cloud-based technologies that enhance data orchestration, automate analytics workflows, and drive smarter, autonomous decision-making across internal processes and client delivery.
Pilot Oversight: Lead pilot initiatives to assess ROI and operational impact of new tools, platforms, or data.
Go To Market Approach:
Partner with Insights leadership, Huron sales teams, and Growth Enablement Team: Update go-to-market narrative, collateral, and contribute to client-facing proposals involving newly developed insights services.
Contribute to Active Client Engagements: Provide subject matter expertise in growth strategy, digital enablement, and data modernization.
Collaborate with Project Teams: Drive measurable outcomes and ensure client satisfaction with updated or newly developed data services.
Identify and Evaluate New Market Verticals: Assess new market verticals and service offerings aligned with Huron’s growth strategy.
Collaborate with Business Development and Leadership Teams: Craft go-to-market strategies for new service lines.
Develop Strategic Perspectives: Formulate investment theses for emerging trends in healthcare data, analytics, and digital transformation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
8 + years of experience in healthcare analytics, consulting, data science, or related fields
Skilled in transforming data and analytics into actionable insights for client success.
Expertise in building and scaling healthcare measurement frameworks and composite metrics
Ability to synthesize large, complex datasets into clear insights and recommendations that drive measurable benefits
Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with internal teams and healthcare executives
Demonstrated experience with advanced data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or AWS QuickSight, etc.)
Expertise in SQL skills and data lake querying along with experience across Python and R
Experience in building data models, data pipelines, data validation/ quality checks and semantic layers within the healthcare domain
Willingness to travel up to 80% (Monday-Thursday with occasional onsite Fridays)
Direct Supervisory experiences of both individuals and teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
US Work Authorization required
The estimated base salary range for this job is $170,000 - $215,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $212,500 - $290,250. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
