About the Role
As a QA Engineer - Services within Professional Services, you will focus on scripting and modifying tools to facilitate complex technical projects for our clients. This role emphasizes technical problem-solving and process optimization, distinct from traditional QA engineering, and may involve a variety of other technical tasks that arise from your work. If you have a passion for enhancing service delivery through technical expertise, this position offers a dynamic and impactful opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with client project managers and engineers to execute engineering steps of document migrations and other complex project tasks within defined milestones.
- Assist with the scoping, development, and execution of non-standard Technical Services requests.
- Modify, troubleshoot, document, and execute existing SQL, Visual Basic, and other programming language scripts to fit specific project needs.
- Execute and QA additional types of conversions and custom reporting as needed.
- Communicate with Client Project Managers and teammates to ensure timely updates and delivery of projects.
- Perform and monitor projects after hours as needed including periodic onsite drive and machine maintenance.
- Develop, maintain, and standardize internal tools and processes to create efficiencies that support the success of the Technical Services team.
- Utility and web development across various languages and tools such as Python, SQL, Angular and JavaScript. Familiarity with Git for managing code repositories and collaborating on software development.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Leverage AI technologies and basic machine learning to enhance service offerings.
About You:
Technical/Professional Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or a related technical discipline), or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate or higher proficiency with MS SQL and strong familiarity with programming languages and platforms such as VBA and C#.
- Experience working with the backend of Document Management Systems (familiarity with GoFileRoom is a plus).
- Experience with tax software (familiarity with UltraTax, GoSystemTax and/or OneSource Income Tax is a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple technical engagements concurrently in a high-energy, high-stress environment.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks, cloud services, and use of APIs.
- Ability to independently perform tasks and create efficiencies with minimal guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative project management environment.
- Flexibility to perform tasks after hours as needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work directly with clients.
