Job Summary
Product Stewardship and Regulatory (PS&R) is a cross-functional process which seeks to understand and minimize the impacts to human health and the environment throughout the product’s life-cycle—production, transport, use, and end-of-life management. DuPont is a leading company in the full utilization of SAP’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Product Safety module for managing global regulatory compliance across many diverse specialty product businesses. The SAP EH&S Regulatory Data and Hazard Communications Specialist position offers a challenging opportunity to gain exposure across the DuPont product portfolio and support the business units and/or the Corporation in the application of product regulatory systems and tools. The role is also responsible for developing a proficiency in SAP EH&S, and a working knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance needs for the business(es).
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Understand the processes used for data review, analysis, validation, and maintenance
Develop a proficiency in SAP EH&S including but not limited to:
Maintaining regulatory and compositional data in EH&S
Safety data sheet authoring (SDS) and regulatory label content
Generating EH&S reports (e.g., product composition, global salability, SDS status, etc.)
Process documentation
Analyzing and retrieving data
Understanding of the SAP EH&S data model
Develop a proficiency in other SAP modules to understand processes for Orders, Deliveries, Raw Material Management, Product Shipments, etc., and how they integrate with SAP EH&S functionality
Identify and troubleshoot regulatory data issues
Understand chemical and product regulatory compliance
Understand company confidential business information (CBI) requirements
Participate in and/or lead continuous improvement projects
Collaborate in global networks
Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field of study (e.g., management information systems, systems engineering, industrial engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry) or equivalent
Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Excellent writing/verbal communication and presentation skills
Accomplished computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and database experience
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner
5+ plus years of work experience in a related role
Preferred:
Proficient in SAP EH&S including but not limited to:
Maintaining regulatory and compositional data in SAP EH&S
Analyzing and retrieving data
Understanding of the SAP EH&S table structure
Proficient in other SAP modules to understand processes for Orders, Deliveries, Raw Material Management, Product Shipments, etc., and how they integrate with EH&S functionality
Working knowledge with chemical substance regulations (i.e., REACH, TSCA, GHS), as well as knowledge of product risk management and product stewardship is a benefit
Prior experience with product stewardship and regulatory or supply chain is a benefit, but not required
