The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile AI Specialist to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of AI-driven solutions across the drug development lifecycle. This role requires deep expertise in prompt engineering, multi-platform AI orchestration, and data integration from diverse biomedical sources. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in life sciences and a passion for applying AI to accelerate therapeutic innovation.

What you will do:

Prompt Engineering & Agent Design

• Develop and refine prompts for large language models (LLMs) to support scientific due diligence, target validation, and regulatory strategy.
• Design AI agents capable of synthesizing data from scientific literature, clinical trial databases, patents, and internal repositories (e.g., PubMed, BioRxiv, UniProt, Open Targets).

Data Integration & Workflow Automation

• Integrate structured and unstructured data from internal and external platforms to support decision-making in early- and late-stage drug development.
• Identify opportunities for automation within investment operations and develop solutions using tools like Power Automate and custom scripts to streamline processes.
• Build pipelines that connect AI tools with platforms such as GlobalData, UpToDate, and regulatory datasets (e.g., FDA, EMA).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with investment, compliance, IT teams to identify high-impact AI use cases.
• Translate domain-specific needs into scalable AI solutions that enhance productivity and insight generation.

Platform & Tooling Expertise

• Deploy and manage AI tools across platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, perplexity).
• Evaluate and implement best-in-class AI frameworks for document summarization, timeline comparison, and clinical trial analysis.

Innovation & Strategy

• Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI for biopharma, including generative models, multi-modal learning, and agentic workflows.
• Contribute to strategic planning for AI adoption across the organization.

What we are looking for:

• Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience applying AI/ML, preferably in life sciences or healthcare settings.
• Proven experience in prompt engineering and LLM-based application development.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, ChatGPT and workflow automation tools (e.g. Power Automate, Zapier).
• Proficiency in integrating data from scientific, regulatory, and commercial sources.
• Prior work in biotech, pharma, or venture capital environments.
• Experience with regulatory data mining (e.g., clinicaltrials.gov, FDA/EMA portals).
