As part of the Private Brands team, you’ll help shape the future of Member’s Mark by creating products our members not only want—but love. The Member’s Mark Research team plays a critical role in understanding member needs and translating those insights into brand and product strategies.

What you'll do...

What you'll do
As a Principal Data Analyst on the Consumer & Sensory Insights team, you will:
  • Lead research initiatives that bring the member voice into every stage of product development—from need identification to launch and post-launch evaluation.
  • Own insights generation for the Pantry and Consumables categories, delivering compelling, data-driven stories to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Design and execute both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including advanced techniques like conjoint analysis, max diff, and consumer tracking.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with product development, brand, and merchandising teams to ensure member-centric innovation.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with autonomy and accountability.
  • Champion the use of AI and emerging technologies in research and insights.
What you'll bring
  • Experience: 10+ years in market research, consumer insights, behavioral psychology, or a related field focused on understanding consumer behavior.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to translate broad business objectives into actionable research plans and insights.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with a talent for storytelling through data.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, and data visualization. Ability to interpret complex statistical outputs.
  • Research Expertise: Hands-on experience with advanced survey techniques and qualitative research methods.
  • Collaboration: Strong relationship-building skills and comfort working in a highly interactive, people-driven environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage a high volume of projects with ownership and independence.
  • Mindset: Growth-oriented, curious, and open to adopting new tools and technologies.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
