Job Description
This role offers a starting range of $53,000 to $70,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.
The Production Analyst or Jr Production Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting production data to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative skills, a keen attention to detail, and excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely to all stakeholders. This position reports to Production Manager and works with Production Supervisors and Mill Operators. You will be responsible for the following activities:
- Data Collection and Analysis – responsible for collection/compilation and analysis of production data from various sources, including production systems such as ODEN, databases, and reports; analyze production metrics; utilize statistical methods and data analysis techniques
- Performance Monitoring - monitor production performance indicators in real-time; conduct root cause analysis of production issues, downtime events, and quality concerns; develop reports and dashboards to visualize production performance metrics and trends
- Process Optimization - collaborate with production managers, production supervisors, and TPM Pillar Coordinators to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization.
- Forecasting and Planning - support production planning and scheduling activities by providing data-driven insights and forecasts on production capacity, resource utilization, and demand variability.
- Continuous Improvement - participate in cross-functional teams focused on continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
Qualifications
To perform your job as expected, you will be required:
For Production Analyst (this is an exempt role):
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in data analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, or JMP.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, or optimization software is desirable.
- Willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs
For Junior Production Analyst (Entry level/hourly role):
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Some experience in data analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, or JMP.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, or optimization software is desirable.
In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:
- Experience within the Ink industry
