We are seeking Auxiliary Instructors to support students for our Python related programs This role mainly involves covering instructor absences as needed. It’s an excellent opportunity for new instructors eager to gain experience, or for those seeking flexibility!
If you are a software engineer with a deep understanding of Python and the various libraries, wanting to instruct our Python related courses programs to learners aged 13-18, then this is for you!
Courses that you could possibly teach are:
- AI & Machine Learning with Python
- Building Brains with Deep Learning
- Build your own computer with Raspberry Pi
Instructors must be able to work from 9am-3pm, from July-August at the University of Toronto - Hart House Campus

Key Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and comprehensive classroom sessions with teen learners following the course curriculum
- Provide constructive feedback, guidance, and mentorship to students as they ideate, develop, and iterate on their chatbot project.
- Showcase proficiency in Python
- Share real-world experiences, case studies, and insights to offer students a holistic understanding of the field.
- Grade assessments that accurately measure student understanding and progress within the course.
Role Requirements
- Previous professional experience in software engineering roles or internships specializing in Python
- Bachelor's degree or final year studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and various libraries
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Innate logical thinking and the ability to inspire and nurture logical thinking in students.
- A passion for guiding and mentoring students, fostering their growth, and providing meaningful feedback.
- Willingness to adapt to evolving curriculum needs, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- A collaborative attitude, eager to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- A proactive attitude towards ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
- A strong portfolio of relevant work to showcase your skills and experience.
