You’ll play a critical role in analyzing Medicaid and healthcare data, designing reports, validating results, and ensuring that the information stakeholders rely on is accurate and ready to drive decisions. What You’ll Do

  • Analyze complex healthcare-related datasets to support business and policy decisions.
  • Design and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL and business intelligence tools.
  • Conduct data validation, profiling, and anomaly detection to ensure data integrity.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements and actionable solutions.
  • Document analytical processes, data flows, and reporting logic for reusability and transparency.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external clients to share updates and insights.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing efforts.
  • Stay current on emerging data tools, technologies, and warehousing best practices.
  • Support project goals by contributing to planning, testing, and process optimization.

Requirements

  •  5+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting
  • 5+ years of SQL development, including query optimization and performance tuning
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with client-facing experience
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and driven by a desire to learn and contribute

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with healthcare data systems, including Medicaid or Medicare data
  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Understanding of data warehousing principles and EDW architecture
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments

Location & Travel

This is a telecommute role with occasional travel (<15%) to Springfield, IL for client collaboration.
