JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architecture. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing our growing data infrastructure, enabling advanced analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives across the organization. This role requires strong technical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a deep understanding of modern data platforms and tools. Salary for this role is starting at $140,000.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to define data requirements and implement scalable data models.
• Optimize data architecture for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Lead initiatives around data quality, governance, and security.
• Integrate data from multiple sources (internal and external) into the centralized data warehouse/lake.
• Collaborate on infrastructure decisions related to cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce best practices in code quality and architecture.
• Participate in performance tuning, automation, and continuous integration for data systems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
• BA/BS required; MBA in Computer Science, engineering, or related field is preferred
EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
• Expertise in Python, SQL, and one or more modern ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt).
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and distributed systems.
• Experience with real-time data streaming tools such as Kafka or Spark Streaming is a plus.
• Familiarity with dashboard/reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Zoho Analytics.
• Solid communication skills and ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and agile development practices.
SKILLS
• Exposure to machine learning pipelines and model deployment.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) are a plus.
