Lead Machine Learning Engineer (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ):

Lead small teams in the development of machine learning and artificial intelligence systems. Responsible for the day-to-day technical direction of tasks and projects, the technical mentorship of junior staff, the implementation of technical excellence practices, and the design of complex machine learning systems. Work directly with cross-functional business partners from data science, developer operations, and cloud security to deploy new research product. Actively promote an agile software development culture.

 
Telecommuting permitted up to 100% per week. Candidate may reside and work anywhere in the U.S.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $188,300.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Systems, Information Systems, Information Science or a related field and 4 years of work experience. 


Must have 3 years of experience in:

  • Working with Amazon Web Services, including Sagemaker Studio, Elastic Container Service, Simple Storage System, and Elastic Load Balances;
  • Programming experience in Python, including data science and machine learning-specific libraries such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, Numpy, Tensorflow, and PyTorch;
  • Deploying XGBoost, decision forest, linear regression, and support vector machine models;
  • Developing machine learning automation platforms;
  • Refactoring R&D work product into production software; and,
  • Machine Learning Deployments.

Must have 2 years of experience in:

  • Deploying generative artificial intelligence capabilities, including BERT, GPT-X, and Llama; and, 
  • Generative Artificial Intelligence.
