Position Overview:

This position is hybrid with some onsite work in Sacramento.

The Director of Cloud Data Architecture and Product Engineering is responsible for leading the strategic vision, design, and development of the Cloud Data and Analytics platform architecture and product engineering functions. This role requires expertise in designing and scaling enterprise data platforms, integrating AI/ML capabilities, and leading innovative projects that advance the organization’s IT strategy. This role requires health care domain and data knowledge, expertise in designing enterprise data platform and services, experience in implementing healthcare Entity 360 (Provider, Patient) products, strong expertise in Databricks, conversational AI platform and Azure.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Bachelor's: Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

12 years recent relevant experience.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Expert knowledge of implementing sophisticated technology to support a large, complex, and geographically diverse multi-entity business.

Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, IS team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.

Demonstrated managerial and organizational skills to articulate the value of plans and strategies, and assemble consensus across all levels of Sutter Health.

Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Sound understanding of healthcare operations including: hospitals, clinics, medical offices, and IS needs.

Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams committed to carrying out initiatives in environments that may be resistant to change.

Proven ability to align strategic planning, budget preparation, resource management, and performance monitoring into an actionable technology plan capable of delivering desired results.

Pay Range is $91.30 to $146.08 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package. ​
