As a Zühlke Data Governance Consultant, your core mission is to design and implement robust data governance and management frameworks that deliver measurable impact for our clients. You combine technical understanding, business acumen, and change management expertise to help organizations build trust in their data, meet regulatory requirements, and create the foundation for effective data-driven decision-making.

How You'll Make Impact

• Shape and implement data governance frameworks: You lead the design, customization, and rollout of client-specific data governance models, policies, roles, and processes across domains such as data ownership, data quality, metadata management, lineage, and data stewardship.

• Deliver transformation projects: You work hands-on in interdisciplinary teams to operationalize governance frameworks in real client environments — including data catalogs, glossaries, DQ tools, or platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica).

• Advise at strategic and operational levels: You guide clients through the full lifecycle of governance — from assessment and maturity modeling to roadmap creation and embedding governance into existing data management and operating models.

• Enable compliance and trusted data use: You support regulatory alignment and help clients establish governance processes to ensure ethical, responsible, and secure data and AI use.

• Drive organizational adoption: You lead stakeholder engagement across business and IT, facilitate governance working groups, and run education and change programs to embed data ownership and literacy in the organization.

• Collaborate and grow Zühlke’s capabilities: You contribute to internal knowledge building, shape offerings, coach team members, and support sales and proposal activities as a subject matter expert.

What's Important to Us

Required

• 6+ years of experience in consulting and/or data governance, data management, or data strategy roles

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing data governance and management frameworks in complex organizations

• Deep familiarity with concepts such as data ownership models, DQ frameworks, metadata & lineage, data policies, and governance tools

• Experience working with data governance technologies (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Microsoft Purview)

• Strong communication and facilitation skills to engage stakeholders across business and IT

• Proven ability to deliver results through structured, pragmatic approaches

• University degree in business, information systems, computer science, or related fields

• Excellent English verbal and written communication

Preferred

• Familiarity with Hong Kong data privacy regulations in a financial services context

• Experience integrating data governance into data platform or AI initiatives

• Certifications (e.g., DCAM, CDMP, DAMA-DMBOK) a strong plus

• Experience in change management and user enablement in governance rollouts

• Network with data leaders and regulators in Hong Kong
