Data Governance Lead (Analytics Enablement)

As part of our Analytics Enablement team, this will be a lead role focusing on developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures to ensure the proper management of the company’s data lifecycle. This role involves collaboration with technical teams, business stakeholders, and data stewards across our global organization to enhance data quality, information security, compliance, and value. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.

This position is 100% remote with 10-20% travel.

Responsibilities: 

In this role, you will…

  • Develop and maintain a data governance strategy and framework in alignment with company objectives and data strategy.
  • Establish and drive an enterprise data governance roadmap, including the identification and planning of strategic priorities to enhance data-driven capabilities.
  • Manage the processes and platforms to cultivate and maintain data models, data catalog, and metadata management to drive data quality, consistency and overall usability.
  • Facilitate data governance community meetings and working groups to build cross-functional alignment, understanding, and literacy.
  • Advocate the continued organizational adoption of a data governance culture.
  • Be fully responsible for outcomes and timelines of all projects.
  • Lead projects using Agile methodologies, including developing a business case and benefits, identifying resource needs, contributing to project design, guiding internal and external teams, and creating comprehensive project documentation.
  • Provided demos and training to drive engagement and adoption of Data Governance within IDEX.
  • Work with Stakeholders to facilitate requirements gathering for identification of critical data elements, data domains, and sensitive data throughout IDEX.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Business Administration, or other similar field.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a data governance or data management role
  • Data Linage (experience
  • Strong knowledge of data governance practices, business, tools and techniques related to the management of information assets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track-record of delivering data-driven solutions that impact business outcomes.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing growth environment and to work independently. 
  • Ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to self-direct.
  • Proven working knowledge of data lifecycle concepts and service delivery.
  • Proven leadership on small to medium projects with limited oversight.
  • Expertise in the design and development of solutions that allow teams to build scalable, resilient environments and that enable teams to more easily manage and deliver insights.
  • Certification(s) in data management, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), or similar are a plus.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $86,000.00 - $129,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
