About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Big Data Operations Engineer to support Risk Data Services (RDS). RDS is a multi-tenant big data platform that will provide consistent and integrated data to support Risk Management, Monitoring and Reporting for various risk stripes (Credit, Market, Liquidity, Interest Rate, Model, Compliance, Operational, Strategic and Reputation Risk). RDS is a big data platform that is hosted on premises by Hortonworks that offers compute (Spark & Hive), storage (HDFS), tools and capabilities for tenants to build and manage their data assets.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Hadoop
  • 3+ years of experience with Python or Unix/Shell scripting or Spark
  • 3+ years of experience with Autosys
  • 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes
  • 1+ years of experience with GCP enablement and Migration support

Desired Qualifications:

  • Data analytics capabilities and mindset at scale. ​
  • Ability to interact effectively at varying levels of the business and technical organizations, including management
  • Strong team or technical leadership experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Previous experience with Wells Fargo technical systems
  • 2+ years of experience with Dremio
  • 2+ years of experience in setting up monitoring dashboards thru Grafana or Prometheus

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work on-site at posted location, hybrid is currently available
  • Relocation assistance is not available
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hour
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Iselin, New Jersey- Pay Range $92,400-164,400

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$84,000.00 - $164,400.00
