THIS IS A FIXED TERM ROLE UNTIL 12/2026 WITH THE POTENTIAL TO EXTEND OR CONVERT TO PERMANENT

As an integral part of the Equifax AI Labs team, the AI Product Manager will work closely with Product Directors/Managers and AI Data Scientists to consider and develop the next generation of AI powered products & services. 

Liaising with a variety of Equifax stakeholders, utilising the latest tools and platforms the AI Product Manager will ensure AI Labs feasibility opportunities meet market needs and can be moved into the NPI process and roadmaps at pace to generate revenue and commercial value.

What you'll do:

• Act as an AI expert and subject matter expert in the Product Management (Strategy & Innovation) team working closely with Product Directors/Managers and Product Analytics on AI related product development.

• Manages and owns AI product initiatives and aligns to NPI / Product Operations cadence e.g. tollgate processes.

• Provides input to product development roadmaps and supports 'go to market' activities

• Contributes to the AI Labs programme by way of client use cases, Voice of Customer, Voice of Sales and problem statements to ensure PoC's ultimately have potential commercial benefit.

• Works closely with the AI Labs leader on PoC selection, ideation and R&D activities whilst allowing the space for experimentation and R&D.

• Undertakes competitor and market trend analysis around the use of AI in Product Development.

• Interfaces into existing and potential new partners with respect to the use of AI in Product Development.

• Liaises with the AI Labs Leader in internal stakeholder management e.g. AI Steering, Technology, Compliance, Operations, Data Strategy, Data Office, Governance, Model Risk Management, etc.

• In conjunction with the AI Labs Leader adopts the Equifax Majestic principles for AI Product Development.

• Acts as a conduit for best practice across global Equifax business units towards the use of AI in Product Development.

• Provides support for the creation of business cases and funding applications with Irish Development Agency (IDA).

• A key part of the the AI Labs ecosystem with a direct reporting line into Product Management (Strategy & Innovation) and 'dotted line' into the AI Labs leader

• Market Opportunity Assessment - Drive and socialize overall Market Understanding including market analysis and industry research; Evaluate competitive landscape and utilize understanding of competitors to identify and articulate high-potential opportunities; Conduct market validation through review and testing of concepts with existing and prospective customers (voice of customer, customer advisory)

• Product Definition - Assess opportunities for, and own development of, strategic partnerships; Define product requirements considering market needs, build, buy, partner approaches; Facilitate development of commercial model and packaging discussions

• Product Strategy & Planning - Understand and communicate the product vision; Support development of business cases and define product roadmap used in product strategy and planning sessions across the Product Delivery Value Stream; Track attainment of objectives through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Product Delivery & Launch - Provide descriptions and write requirements definition for product development; Prepare for and support product release; Contribute to prioritization of opportunities & product trade-offs

• Growth & Portfolio Management  - Track, monitor and ensure effective performance of the product including attainment of revenue and margin objectives; Manage product offerings to ensure new capabilities meet customer/market needs; Collect, analyze and interpret data to reach conclusions and/or present insights and findings to drive product lifecycle management decisions including enhancements and sunsetting; Partner with internal stakeholders (i.e., D&A, Sales, etc.) throughout the product life cycle.

What experience you need:

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered

• 5-7 years of product management or business analyst experience working in a product-led organization within Technology, Financial Services or Data & Analytics required

• Demonstrated working experience using Agile methodologies and/or project management methodologies required

• Experience writing detailed product requirements is fundamental and required and must demonstrate a solid understanding of what we are building, who we are building it for, why it’s important and how it is being used to solve problems (ROI)

• Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate efforts in a highly matrixed environment 

• Demonstrated understanding of delivering cloud-based products and services strongly preferred

• Experience in Product tools preferable (Aha, JIRA, Figma) 

• Experience demonstrating Design Thinking for innovation is a plus (Use creative design thinking to develop innovative business solutions; Apply creative and analytical tools to develop real solutions for real needs, including personas, empathy mapping, prototyping and iteration models.)

What could set you apart:

• Experience of developing AI driven products and services and/or exposure to the use of AI in the product development cycle

• Highly analytical and comfortable working closely with Data Science teams on a regular basis

• Experience of working in the financial services sector and/or credit referencing

• Data savvy and able to create commercial value from technology, analytics and large multiple data assets
