AI Research Intern

Seeking students interested in gaining practical experience in business operations, process improvement, project coordination, and healthcare IT.

Position: AI Research Intern

Duration: August 11, 2025 – May , 2026

Part time, working 15 – 29 hours/week

Remote, based in Michigan (Eastern Time Zone)

Wage: $14/hour

The company is currently not authorized to support remote work employees in the following locations: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Delaware, Idaho, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, Utah, Wyoming. 

The student internship program accepts international students with up-to-date work authorization for off-campus employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule meetings and assist with planning and preparation for internal company AI Task Force
• Plan and assist with the basic AI/ ChatGPT Training hosted by the internal AI Task Force
• Assist with developing, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting AI usage and policy metrics
• Help identify areas for improvement that AI could help with internal processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete AI research and policy documentation
• Assist with development of action plans, process maps, procedures, or other documentation to support AI implementation projects
• Track and report on status of projects using Atlassian's Jira system
• Document, organize, and track meeting notes and actions
• Provide support for special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Familiarity with AI tools and chat bots
• Experience with Microsoft products (e.g., Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook)
• Process improvement interest or experience
• Project management interest or experience
• Analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and as member of a team
• Open and flexible to change
• Willing to learn new tools/concepts/business vocabulary
