What will you be doing?

Growth Consulting is a strategy consulting practice, powered by Circana, focused on driving profitable growth established 10+ years ago. The team works with senior management at some of the world’s largest and most successful consumer packaged goods, retail, general merchandise, and over-the-counter health care companies, as well as for Private Equity firms.

We are seeking a Custom Analytics lead (5–10 years experience) who excels in both technical skills and client consulting. This individual will work closely with Circana clients to deliver into actionable business insights through data-driven analyses, and also build prototypes of new offerings that have potential to scale. This role will require a balance between data engineering, statistical modeling, and strategic problem-solving.

Job Responsibilities

• Client Consultation: Engage directly with clients to understand business challenges and translate them into analytical solutions.  
• Data Analytics & Queries: Process, analyze, and interpret large datasets using SQL, Python, or R.  
• Light Data Engineering: Maintain and optimize data pipelines to ensure accessibility for analytics and reporting.  
• Statistical Modeling: Apply advanced statistical techniques to generate predictive insights and business recommendations.  
• Visualization & Reporting: Develop dashboards and frameworks to clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.  
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to integrate analytic solutions into broader business strategies.  

Requirements

• Experience: 5–10 years in data science, analytics, or related fields.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a relevant field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with statistical modeling, forecasting, and business analytics.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and consulting abilities.
  • Ability to simplify complex data into client-friendly insights.
  • Strategic mindset to connect analytics with business growth opportunities.

This position can be located in the following area(s): Remote, USA.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.  An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $150,000.00 to $180,000.00.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
