Wayfair is seeking a dynamic, experienced Manager to help lead the Sales Analytics Team, supporting the projects across the B2B and Global Sales teams. This person will oversee strategic planning and implementation to support these programs with data insights, functions, and tracking. We are looking for a Data Leader with a creative mindset towards driving results through data with a technical aptitude, and a desire to drive scalable strategic advancement in the program.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for leading a team (1-3) of data analysts to partner with stakeholders and project managers to assess needs, and leverage proven methodologies to implement innovative and creative solutions.
- Be the business point-of-contact for an offshore Sales Data Engineering team, helping drive requirements alignment, sprint prioritization, and OKR alignment.
- Responsible for ownership of data tables, data functions, and reports that highlight opportunities of the data pipelines the team is accountable for
- Leverage existing analytical models available within established and nascent Sales Programs
- Conduct statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining to uncover patterns and trends
- Oversee impact measurement, reporting and trend analysis across sites and consult with stakeholders across locations based on these results
- Assess current data pipelines, identify opportunity areas, and build improvement plans where necessary to ensure that data used for analysis and reporting is of the highest quality and delivers the needed business outcomes.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
- 5-7+ years of experience in reporting and analytics.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ, and data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio (Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI)
- Familiarity with Python or R is preferred but not required
- Ability to set rigorous technical / architectural standards whilst speaking the language of our business partners to influence the strategic direction for reporting, analytics, and data quality capabilities.
- Knowledge of a pragmatic approach to business, processes, and user needs.
- Strong customer focus and the ability to recognize the impact of decisions on end users.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact with team members and external customers.
- Strong presentation skills to all levels of management.
- Experience in taking a company forward in a fast-growth environment, providing insight for direction, and managing change effectively.
An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy:
All Boston-based interns, Co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday - Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
