This role plays a critical function in enabling real-time, data-informed decision-making by delivering insightful, accurate, and actionable dashboards and analytics to senior stakeholders globally. This is not just a reporting role- it is a strategic enabler responsible for transforming complex data sets into meaningful intelligence that drives the risk agenda forward.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with advanced technical and analytical skills, who can both lead reporting operations and partner cross-functionally to identify emerging risks, track program performance, and provide forward-looking insights. With direct responsibility for creating, implementing, maintaining, reviewing or overseeing an effective risk management framework. Participates in projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Identifies gaps and inform solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors. Identifies, responds and/or escalates risks as appropriate. Serves as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.
Key responsibilities include developing and programming data aggregation methods, processes and systems to analyze complex datasets, delivering actionable insights and solutions to senior leadership and key stakeholders. This role also ensures the accuracy and integrity of critical data platforms, such as Tableau and PowerBI, by maintaining high standards of data quality and validation.
Essential Functions
- Own end-to-end development and maintenance of TPRM dashboards and reports across tools such as Tableau and PowerBI, ensuring delivery within defined SLAs and reporting cycles.
- Aggregate, cleanse, and validate data from multiple sources (e.g. Archer, ServiceNow, Agiloft) to create a centralized and trusted reporting environment.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret patterns in large, complex datasets to surface key insights and proactively highlight emerging trends and risks.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design reporting that supports operational performance, regulatory compliance, executive decision-making, risk mitigation efforts and program governance.
- Service as the primary expert for data visualization platforms and analytics tools, providing ongoing administration, enhancement, and user support.
- Leverage tools such as SQL, SAS, and Alteryx to run advanced data queries, automate workflows, and apply statistical techniques to drive predictive or risk based analysis.
- Translate complex data into simple, compelling narratives and visualizations that resonate with executive audiences and enable rapid decision-making.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to reporting processes and infrastructure to improve data accuracy, integrity and scalability.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Risk Management, Statistics or a related field.
- 6+ years of applicable experience in a data analytics or reporting role, ideally supporting risk, compliance, procurement, or financial services functions.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Expert-level proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) and data transformation tools (e.g. Alteryx, SAS).
- Strong experience working with relational databases and querying languages such as SQL.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to distill complex data into executive level insights and actionable recommendations.
- Experience supporting audit, regulatory exams, or enterprise risk programs is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a thought leader, driving innovation in reporting strategy and data storytelling.
- Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business.
- Considerable understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls.
- Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
- Applicable professional certifications.
- Demonstratable knowledge of third-party risk management and related frameworks.
