As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting data to drive business decisions. Your expertise will contribute to the development and deployment of data-driven solutions, with a strong emphasis on bringing these solutions into production. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, design statistical models, and leverage your coding skills to extract valuable insights from (large) datasets.
Together we shape the AI future for Business Assurance. This means being kind of an internal entrepreneur in BA, building a system and team as part of a bigger AI community in DNV. This includes dialogue and cooperation with business processes, systems and tools. Understanding processes, data and people before shaping an AI project is key to make sure you build a useful and value-adding system that will be used and make a difference. Likewise, following up systems in production to make sure they are adopted and continue to add value.
Your daily activities will cover following areas:
Data Collection and Preprocessing:
- Collect and analyze business results or set up and manage new studies to gather relevant data.
- Transform data into a suitable format for analysis.
Model Development and Deployment:
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
- Design and implement frameworks for data collection and automation.
- Build AI systems using generative AI technologies to create innovative solutions that enhance business capabilities.
- Likewise, following up systems in production to make sure they are adopted and continue to add value.
Reporting and Communication:
- Create reports, demonstrators and presentations outlining business predictions, proposals, and findings.
- Communicate insights to stakeholders effectively. It is important to create something tangible, that is “alive” to boost understanding and relevance.
Continuous Learning and Innovation:
- Stay current with technical advancements, industry trends, and best practices.
- Enable smarter business processes by using analytics for meaningful insights.
- Explore and experiment with emerging generative AI tools and frameworks to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge

To be successful in the role you should :
- hold a master’s degree or higher in data science, computer science, statistics or another related field
- have deep experience and knowledge with practical AI development for integration in business applications
- be an expert in Python development and Machine Learning techniques
- be Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- have working knowledge of git and docker
- be eager to learn about new technologies and trends
- enjoy working in cross-domain teams
- be result-oriented and like to solve problems
- be curious and eager to understand customer needs
- have good verbal and written communication skills in English
