About IIMB The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) is a leading graduate school of management in Asia. Under the IIM Act of 2017, IIMB is an Institute of National Importance. Industry/Service Higher Education Position Post-Doctoral Fellow Purpose To support ongoing research at the intersection of disruptive technologies, strategy, and decision-making. The selected Post-Doctoral Fellow will work closely with faculty from IIMB and international collaborators to contribute to high-quality publications and translational research outputs. The position would involve desk research and potentially some fieldwork. Reporting to  Prof. Dinesh Kumar Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with faculty on research projects focused on disruptive technologies, strategy, and decision-making.
• Assist in developing and publishing research in top-tier journals (ABDC A / ABS 3 or higher).
• Contribute to the preparation of research articles, case studies, and other documentation.
• May conduct some fieldwork and coordinate research activities as needed.
• Engage in data collection, analysis, and coding to support research efforts.

Qualification and Personal Profile The candidate must have obtained a Ph.D. degree in Decision Sciences, Analytics or related disciplines. Key Skill and Ability Requirements

• The candidate must have a good command of asymptotic statistics, probability and calculus, as well as strong coding skills (preferably in R and Python). 
• Strong communication and writing skills in English are necessary. Prior experience of authoring top quality research papers, especially in the areas of rare event modelling/simulation and applied probability will put the applicant at an advantageous position.
