Lead AI Engineer

NorthBay is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Lead AI Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing cutting-edge AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in AI, with a specific focus on Vector Databases and embeddings. While the primary emphasis is on these areas, there is also the opportunity to contribute to NLP, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLM) projects as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in AI, with a specific focus on Vector Database and embeddings.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Must have skills in NLP, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLM).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A degree in Data Science or a related field will be a plus.

Skills:

• Vectors database and Embeddings - Must have this skill.
• NLP - Optional but preferred.
• Machine Learning - Optional but preferred.
• Large Language Models (LLM) - Optional but preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science or a related field will be a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement AI solutions with a primary focus on Vector Databases and embeddings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide AI expertise.
• Work on optional projects involving NLP, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models (LLM) as required.
• Utilize programming skills in languages such as Python and be proficient with AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Solve complex problems and demonstrate strong analytical abilities in the field of AI.
• Lead and mentor a team of AI engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
