Power aged care with clean, intelligent data

We’re building an AI-enabled platform for aged care, designed to streamline operations, support compliance, and unlock new levels of care insight. As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll take the lead in building secure, scalable data pipelines and integration layers that support analytics, AI and daily operations. You’ll work hands-on with Azure, Databricks, Logic Apps and API Management to connect systems and enable insight-driven care.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop and optimise pipelines using Databricks and Delta Lake
  • Enforce medallion architecture across bronze, silver and gold layers
  • Orchestrate data ingestion and transformations via ADF and Logic Apps
  • Build and manage APIs using Azure API Management
  • Enable secure API access for internal teams and third-party integrations
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to deliver clean, versioned training data
  • Integrate with GraphQL, REST and event-based workflows
  • Automate testing, deployment and rollback for data services
  • Monitor cost, performance and observability across pipelines
  • Embed governance with Microsoft Purview or DataHub

  • Deliver resilient, cost-efficient data infrastructure with minimal rework
  • Maintain well-documented APIs and secure, reusable integration layers
  • Support AI, analytics and care platform delivery through reliable pipelines
  • Embed automation and improve velocity of data deployments
  • Contribute to secure-by-design architecture and compliance readiness

About you

Essential experience

  • 7+ years in data engineering or cloud platform roles
  • Strong Python, Spark and SQL skills
  • Expert in Databricks, ADF, Azure Data Lake and Logic Apps
  • Skilled in API Management and secure integration patterns
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, REST and third-party data exchange
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD, version control, and observability tools
  • Comfortable with medallion architecture and structured data practices
  • Understanding of data governance and secure data workflows

Desirable

  • Experience with Azure ML, AI Studio or model scoring pipelines
  • Exposure to health or aged care domains
  • Familiarity with .NET or Azure Functions for backend integration
  • Understanding of ISO27001, SOC2 or privacy compliance
