Senior AI/ML Engineer

As an nVent AI/ML Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and deploying machine learning models and generative AI solutions that enable data-driven decision making and insights across the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of AI/ML, specializing in areas such as natural language processing, machine learning models, deep learning models, GAN, AI, GenAI.

• Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models and generative AI systems to address complex business problems.
  • Create algorithms for deep learning, natural language processing tasks.
  • Implement solutions using large language models.
  • Train, validate, and refine models to ensure high performance and accuracy.
  • Manage and preprocess large datasets to support model training and evaluation.
  • Apply AWS services (e.g., SageMaker, Lambda, EC2, S3, Bedrock) for deploying and scaling AI/ML solutions efficiently.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML and contribute to research and development initiatives.
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and product managers, to integrate AI/ML solutions into products.
  • Collaborate with collaborators across the business to understand their needs and challenges, translating them into clear, concise, and technically feasible data analysis requests.
  • Document model development processes, maintain code repositories, and present findings and progress to collaborators.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

You have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
• Previous experience in or with 5+ years’ experience as AI/ML engineering, with a focus on machine learning models and generative AI.
• Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and Java.
  • Experience with ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including SageMaker, Lambda, EC2, Bedrock, and S3.
  • Strong understanding of deep learning architectures, natural language processing, and LLM.
  • Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation metrics.
• Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
