This role can be carried out from our Burlingame, CA headquarters, hybrid, or fully remote/virtually. Remote candidates must be physically located within the United States.

Responsibilities
- Join a team of innovative engineers building and scaling the core data infrastructure, pipelines, and services that power our products
- Design and implement a robust data warehouse to support a wide range of analytics and operational use cases
- Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines and curated data sets by working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- And of course—write code every day!
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a data engineer
- Proficiency in writing high-quality Python code (Java is a plus) and a strong track record of delivering impactful data projects
- Experience building robust, fault-tolerant data pipelines with solid logging, alerting, and data validation—not just simple scripts
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing data warehouses using modern cloud databases like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks
- Expertise in SQL-based data modeling with a focus on governance and enabling self serve using a development framework such as DBT
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau (a plus)
- Experience working with sensitive data in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment
- A thoughtful approach to balancing quality and deadlines in fast-paced settings
- Excellent communication skills with a talent for building consensus and alignment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to distill complex problems into clear priorities that move the team and business forward
