As a Data Engineer, you’ll have the chance to be responsible for development and maintenance of back-end data warehouse systems for our products and applications.
This role is specifically for joining the Enterprise Resource Programme (ERP) team managing Workday, the Finance stack, and all integrations and data pipelines into Workday.
Who are your stakeholders?
Key stakeholders include the Finance, Traders, Sales, Account Management, Talent, Operations, IT along with tech SMEs across Platform, IT, Data management, Data Science & Analytics teams
What you’ll bring
- 2-3 years of experience in data engineering and integration domain with in-depth exposure around building & managing data pipelines on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Extensive hands-on experience around Notebook Pyspark coding (Preferably on Databricks) & advanced SQL to develop & optimise data pipelines
- In-depth understanding of data modelling & data transformation techniques while maintaining a high level of data quality & integrity
- Strong software development skills using Hadoop technologies such as Hive, Spark etc.
- 2-3+ years of experience in Workday Studio and managing code within the Workday environment
- Knowledge & exposure to SaaS Applications, such as Salesforce or any other CRM system
- Well-versed with release management, incident management and SDLC methodologies through Bitbucket/GitHub and JIRA
- Good understanding of infrastructure components such as clusters, nodes, compute, and storage needed for managing data pipelines and their performance
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate roadblocks, diagnose problems and generate effective solutions
- Outstanding stakeholder management & communication skills
- Worked with a wide variety of business & technical stakeholders on strategic data projects

What impact will you create?
You will be a key driver to achieve end-to-end data integration by building automated, scalable and robust data pipelines across critical business systems to targeted Finance data repositories. You will manage the Finance integrations and data pipelines, learn new tools and SaaS systems, and manage end-to-end data flows. This is a critical role to enable the Finance function in MiQ, and your work will be showcased at the highest levels within MiQ. Your work will also enable business leaders across various enterprise functions to derive relevant finance and data insights for accurate reporting, and effective & timely decision-making. You would act as a Tech SME on data engineering, data integration and data management domain by applying leading design standards and implementation methodologies
